Top Apps I Use for My Clients

When it comes to taking on exercise or doing something new in health and fitness you bet you can use the help of technology to help you achieve your gainz and keep your time as efficient as possible. I use these apps myself, on my clients, or my clients would ask me about.

Here are some useful apps will help you get to your fitness goal:

Timer

  • Seconds– this one is a MUST for HIIT.
    • What I love about this app is that it’s very customizable. You can have it count down for you with a lady’s voice or have different beeps/sounds. You could set different colors for different times like work (red) and rest(green) times. After you set up a timer, you can save it for future workouts and you can make as many as you want. It comes with about 5-6 timers already set for you to use. A very big plus, it still counts even when you leave the app to change the music or outside the app. There’s really nothing I don’t like about this one. Worth the purchase.

Music

  • FitRadio– Because adding music always makes everything better. This is my all time favorite app for workout music.
    • It has lots of DJs, mixes, genres, genres according to bpm even. You can favorite a mix that you like so you could listen to it whenever you want. You can search up the DJ and listen to all their mixes. There’s a section for the activity you’d be doing like yoga, stair climber, elliptical, spin, kickboxing, latin zumba, and many more. My clients always ask me where I get my music from and I point them to this app. Oh and there’s a Coaching option so you could be on the treadmill with someone motivating you to keep going. That’s pretty cool. I use it when I decide to go run outside on a pretty day.

Trackers

  • MyFitnessPal– The most popular tracker for Nutrition.
    • Super easy to track because you can scan the barcode and almost everything is in the database, even popular restaurant items. You can also see the macro percentage from what meal on any given day so long as you log it in. Also, Micro nutrients are also measured too. That’s very important. Very useful app if you’re just getting started and learning about your body and how much of what works for you.
  • Water Tracker
    • Majority of people are dehydrated and they don’t know it. I always say that you could easily lose those extra 5-10 pounds if you just work on staying hydrated. Your body won’t retain so much water if you’re constantly feeding it every hour. So that’s what this tracker does. It’ll send you notifications to drink water each hour. You can set it to when you want it to start and at what hour you want it to stop. There’s actually TONS of water tracker apps out there that probably do a lot more. I just like this one because it spits out confetti every time you input what you drank in ounces. It makes it more exciting when theres confetti. 🙂

Accountability/Challenges

  • Habitica – Gamify your life.
    • This one is fun if you have friends or family that have the same goal as you. A great way to hold each other accountable.
  • Plank Challenge
    • This year I started doing daily morning planks as I recite my vision and I’m still doing it because of the enormous benefits I’ve been seeing not only for my body but for my mind as well. This app helps you increase your time in isometric hold by add a few seconds each day. It also has Rest Days incorporated with it too. It comes with different level settings as well. Several clients ask me about this one so that’s why I decided to share it here.

There you have it!! Now I’ve linked all the apps so you can download the apps that calls to you and play with it. You’ll find that being healthy and fit are a lot more fun with these apps. Hope this article helps y’all! Let me know if there are any that you use that you found helpful on your fitness journey. Share in the comments below!!

Until next time! Keep Sparkling!
