Top 6 Productivity Tips

Hi! This article came from a highly requested topic from a poll on my IG stories this one February morning. If you want to see a face to video version of this go head to my IG, and find the highlight reel called “Productivity”. If not, keep reading on. 🙂

Here are my top 6 Productivity tips to keep you efficient AF in your awesome life.

Tip # 1: Make your calendar your best friend.

If you make your calendar your best friend, like literally what you made a promise to it, you can’t let your best friend down and flake. Don’t let yourself off the hook like your best friend wouldn’t when he/she finds out something is important to you. You wouldn’t make a brunch date and just not show up right? What kind of best friend would you be if you let that happen??

Tip # 2: Integrity with Planning

Piggy-backing from the last tip. This points to having integrity with yourself and your word. When you make a promise to do something you must show up. Here I wanted to explain the difference between going with the flow and letting yourself off the hook for something. Going with the flow means life happens and you make up for what you can’t show up for at that moment later on. Letting yourself off the hook is just not showing up and then having full intention to ignore it and pretend you didn’t make that promise with yourself. Yeah, trust yourself in that YOU put that in your schedule to do for a reason and you must fulfill it.

Tip # 3: Touch your WHY everyday

When you know why you’re showing up, you’re more likely to show up fully– not half-assed. This is something I literally have to recreate for myself every single morning or else I will feel like I’m way more likely to flake or easily get distracted.  Plus, doing this sets my ass on fire. It allows this sense of urgency and passion that will flow through the work that I do.

Tip # 4: Deal with Distractions

Here’s how you deal with your distractions. You set a timer or create a reward system. Make it a game with yourself. If you have a hard time holding yourself accountable ask your spouse or close friend to support you or reward you. Everyone is all for you winning more than you can see or appreciate. 🙂

Tip #5: Start a List of Accomplishments

This list of accomplishments is an on-going document that shows how much you show up everyday for yourself and your life. You’ll want to have a long list by the end of the day because it’ll make you feel so accomplished and fulfilled. Include things that are important to you (acts of self-love, acts of being in a relationship/parent, acts of being a business owner, etc.) This one is my all-time most effective for me and I can’t function if I don’t touch this document everyday.  If you are like me and you are motivated by success, try this on for 21 days. Magic WILL happen.

Tip # 6: Find a way to make it fun!

Most tasks aren’t fun, adulting isn’t fun at all, ya’ll. But if you change your perspective, you can make it fun. Do that with everything, and you’ll be gold.

Bonus Tip: If you’re a creative, block out time when you are your most creative and make that sacred AF. For me, I know I have to wake up super early to tend to my creative fairies or else when everyone wakes up and everyone asks mommy to get them this, do that for them.. I won’t be able to go anywhere.

That’s all I have for you as far as productivity tips goes for now. I’m always experimenting with different ways to be efficient. Leave us a comment if you have any to share!!

Until next time my darlings,

J
